Planet Beer

This is a blog about making beer, primarily ME making beer. However, it will also teach you how to homebrew---either all grain or with little cans of goo. Enjoy!

Better than expected!

The beer that was once a stout, and is now a nut brown, turned out very well once it had been sufficiently aged. I've been looking for a new recipe for Naughty Nancy's Nut Brown Ale and this, I think, will do. A picture is enclosed so you can see why the beer was named long before it was brewed. The artwork is by Ace Backwords, a very talented graphic artist who mysteriously vanished years ago. Someday I hope to find out where he got off to. If you know, please write!

Wasn’t he seen snuggling llamas in Peru? Oh, wait that was Berkeley Breathed.

It could have been smuggling, with some snuggling added in. They are, after all, extra cuddly.

Hi Kevin: Ace Backwords here. I'm honored you would use one of my graphics for a beer label (that Nancy is SUCH a bad girl!). You'll probably be horrified to know I mostly drink 16 ounce cans of Old English Malt Liquor these days (that 7.4% alcohol content really does the trick). If you're curious what happened to me, check out http://www.amazon.com and do a search for "Ace Backwords" to find my latest book, "SURVIVING ON THE STREETS." cheers -- Ace Backwords http://www.geocities.com/acebackwords2002
